Bambini selvaggi

2013 – Video

I took part in the “Roman Group for the Libertarian Education” for two years. Together with the group, after a
period of self-education and a theoretical discussion on issues related to libertarian education and education in
general, we experienced on the field some practices through workshops and summer camps with children and
girls. The work was documented through photographs, videos, worksheets , notes, drawings.
The video Bambini Selvaggi, (Wild Children) is a video shooting on a group of fourteen boys and girls, along
with seven adults, during a one week summer camp where they experience being together through some of the
libertarian pedagogy practices. The video records a moment during the camp, when a game suggested by children
turns into conflict. Through the assembly boys and girls with adults support, try to find a solution to the conflict.

Per due anni ho fatto parte del “Gruppo Romano per l’Educazione Libertaria”. Durante il primo anno il gruppo si è confrontato attraverso un autoformazione in cui ognuno ha messo in campo le proprie competenze condividendole con gli altri. Durante il secondo anno il gruppo ha sperimentato concretamente alcune pratiche attraverso laboratori e campi estivi con bambini e bambine. Il lavoro è stato documentato attraverso fotografie, video, schede di lavoro, appunti, disegni. Il video “Bambini Selvaggi” riprende un gruppo di quattordici bambini e bambine e sette adulti, durante un campo estivo di una settimana. Insieme adulti e bambini sperimentano la pedagogia libertaria. Il video documenta un momento in particolare all’interno del campo, in cui una proposta di gioco fatta dai bambini termina in conflitto. Attraverso la pratica dell’assemblea i bambini/e provano a trovare una soluzione che metta d’accordo tutti.
